Rex Brasher was a famous bird painter who lived from 1869-1960 and painted over 874 birds of every known bird in North America during his lifetime.
This painting was created in 1912 and was published as a lithograph in the June 2, 1913 issue of The Mentor Magazine which featured American Birds of Beauty.
